ÖBAG: Election of new Supervisory Board members by Annual General Meeting following resignations

At today's Extraordinary General Meeting of Österreichische Beteiligungs AG, two new members were elected to the Supervisory Board following the retirement of the incumbents, and the terms of two members were extended. Furthermore, Susanne Höllinger, the Executive Committee of the Supervisory Board, is being strengthened for the first time by a woman.

The new appointments became necessary because Helmut Köstinger, until recently head of the postal union, retired at the end of October 2022, and the longest-serving member, Günther Helm, voluntarily resigned from his position as Deputy Chairman and member of the Supervisory Board for personal reasons. The two vacant positions were filled at the Annual General Meeting with Richard Köhler, Chairman of the Central Committee of Österreichische Post AG, and Michael Höllerer, General Director of Raiffeisen NÖ-Wien Holding and Raiffeisenlandesbank NÖ-Wien.

To ensure the necessary continuity in the work of the Supervisory Board, the mandates of Deputy Chairman Karl Ochsner and Supervisory Board member Iris Ortner were extended for a new term. At the constitutive Supervisory Board meeting immediately following the AGM, it was also decided that the proven financial expert Susanne Höllinger would complete the Executive Committee of the ÖBAG Supervisory Board – consisting of Günther Ofner and Karl Ochsner.

"I am pleased that today's decisions ensure continuity in the work of the Supervisory Board, that Susanne Höllinger, an extremely competent woman, is represented on the Executive Committee, and that the Supervisory Board has been strengthened with two proven experts in the person of the new leading employee representative of Österreichische Post AG, Richard Köhler, and the domestic top manager Michael Höllerer," explained Günther Ofner in his role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ÖBAG. "Special thanks for their great commitment and outstanding achievements on the Supervisory Board go to the outgoing members Helmut Köstinger and Günther Helm. They have performed valuable work in the interests of the company for many years, which deserves special recognition," Ofner concluded.
